It's amazing how easily 4 grown adults can be entertained!

Our friends, Bill & Patty were in the Ft. Lauderdale area for the past week on their vacation. They own a timeshare and decided to come here. Patty's mom was along for the adventure. Of course, Jacqueline came too and in fact, spent most of her time with her "Abi" (pronounced: ah-bee....it's short for abuela which is grandma in Spanish).

On Friday afternoon, we were supposed to go swimming at the pool with them but unfortunately, that's when the sky let loose and the rain poured down. Not to be defeated, Patty suggested that we 4 go to the sister property to their timeshare and hit this "basketball" game over at the community center there.

We pile into their Rav4 and are there in no time flat. We walk in and Bill is the first to see this game that Patty had talked about quite a bit. He said to her, "Patty. You've got to be kidding!" Ben and I exchanged knowing glances--- we agreed with Bill.

Patty, the ever chipper and happy-go-lucky person started to put a postive spin on it. We decide to give it a shot. Before we knew it, the 4 of us had turned it into a "serious" competition complete with rules and everything!

And, of course, the boys had to make it more challenging by having us all move back at intervals to play this dumb game! (Ok, ok... it wasn't dumb. But it should have been!!!)

So there we were playing and we look up at the clock and TWO hours had passed in what seemed like only minutes. We had a blast! (I'll be posting pics on Flickr later.)

In the meantime, the boys couldn't get over my apparent...as Bill said... humping of the machine. Of course, I was simply leaning forward and using my legs for strength. The video below is pretty funny. And just for clarification, I was NOT humping the machine. I swear! (the second video is better than the first in my opinion but I wanted to show you what Bill & Ben were talking about...)

Either way, a good time was had by all!
(Who knew four Over-30-Year-Olds could be so easily entertained?!?)
