Isn't it amazing how things change when you become an adult? Things that caused excitement years ago just don't have the same appeal. Conversely, the things that thrill me now would have bored me to tears as a child.

I am excited. About an appliance. Yes, dear readers that's a true example of "finally growing up". When you stop longing for things like dolls, bikes and the boy next door to kiss you... you know you've grown up. When you start fantasizing about your dream kitchen complete with side-by-side refridgerator, you've grown up. And when you are giddy with excitement at the future delivery of a specific household appliance you, my friend, have most certainly grown up.

On Saturday, I will be the proud new owner of a Maytag Neptune Stackable Unit. Our current stackable washer/dryer unit is falling apart. Ben has fixed several parts on it on 3 different occasions. It's time to retire the poor thing. After all, it IS 12 years old!

Ben and I have been lusting wanting this exact model for over 2 and a half years. So, we figure that logically this is not an impulse decision. Besides, our current washer/dryer is not only falling apart, but it's ruining our clothes in the process.

Wanna see a pic of it?

Isn't it purrrrty??
